Shilling 1925 obverse |
Crowned bust of George V, left, Latin titles.
This coin is about half again as heavy as a British shilling, and considerably larger in diameter ; its silver fineness is 250 as against 925, 750 (used in Ireland), or 500 (post-1921 British and some possessions). Altogether a strange object.
