Roman Provincial small bronze, Carrhae (reverse)
Thanks to forum member Bob L for finally verifying the ID of this one. It's a Roman Provincial Bronze in the name of emperor Caracalla, from the city of Carrhae (modern Harran, on the Turkish side of the Syrian border). The edge that has been filed 3/4 of the way round the circumference. Reverse is either moon-and-7-stars or moon-and-one knobbly star, with ornaments above and below interrupting the legend, which is the name of the city, in Greek: KARK-OMH.
