2009 Canada $15 Sterling Silver - Vignette of Royalty Series - High Relief Queen Elizabeth II |

This 15 Dollar Coin is authorized by the Government of Canada and contains 92.5% silver. It has a diameter of 36.15 millimetres and a weight of 30 grams. The reverse of the coin shows the uncrowned effigy of the Queen Elizabeth II that appeared on several Canadian denominations from 1953 to 1964. The effigy itself is in ultra high relief which is reminiscent of ancient medallic art. Slight inconsistencies in the quality of the surface are normal for this ultra high relief process.
