2010 Canada $1 Limited Edition Proof - Silver Dollar - The Sun |

This sterling silver Proof Dollar contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It has a diameter of 36.15 millimetres and a metal content of 30 grams. The Sun has been crafted in ultra-high relief, an exceptional level of sculpting that requires significant hand crafting and polishing. Slight inconsistencies on the surface are a normal and inherent part of this demanding process.
The reverse design was created by Xwa lack tun (Rick Harry), the son of a hereditary chief. Born and raised in Squamish BC, Xwa lack tun is an internationally recognized artist whose work features themes of respect for all people, healing and growth. The obverse features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, by Susanna Blunt.
