A sampling of Medals of Mexico. Mexico has a rich history of minting medals, producing a wide variety, mostly struck in silver. They also produced medals in gold, bronze, brass, silver or gold plated bronze, and other metals. Frank W. Grove published Medals of Mexico in two volumes. Volume II covers medals issued from 1821 to 1971. I can locate no book covering Mexican medals issued after that date. I collect medals issued from 1821 forward.

Of all the Lincoln cents to be damaged, I find the 1909-S VDB to be the saddest occurrence.
