1901 Copper Test Pattern - From Spink Sale |
The Patina Collection was sold at Spink, London in July 2001. Initiated in 1999 as a Millennium project, the design idea was to produce retrospective patterns for the six British monarchs of the 20th Century. Designs were produced for a number of Commonwealth countries, including Canada. The project was never completed.
Pattern coins were produced for a selection of denominations and monarchs in 925 Silver, Copper and aluminum-bronze.
Mintages range between 475 and 750.
