Latin titles of George V. Crown over central hole, crossed sceptres with string of teeth used as money by natives below, below all the seven-pointed star of Australia (New Guinea being a dependency of Australia at this time). Weight indicates they were struck from standard 66-to-the-pound shilling blanks, as used for the Australian coinage, with a hole cut out.
5.38 g, 925 fine silver, 0.1600 oz ASW, reeded edge.
